Keeping it Namaste!

Always keep your thinking positive!

Ahhh…Welcome February! Crazy to think that January 2019 is already done and we made it! Onto to new month of positive energy. For the past couple of years my focus has been changing my mindset and only bringing positive energy into my world.

Trust me this is no easy task and it takes lots of private conversations with myself trying not to go off on someone. But I have noticed an enormous difference overall.  I truly believe that what you give out into the Universe is what you will get in return. My partner has been telling me that I am becoming soft, but I come back with, “I’m just keeping it NAMASTE!”

When I started on this venture of positive thinking or basically seeing the glass half full there were some steps that I started to take. This worked for me and everyone is different, I would just suggest keeping thoughts and situations positive.

Here are some steps that I practice:

  • I began surrounding myself with positive people and positive relationships. This is not an easy task, it meant I had to let go of some long-time friendships that were toxic and were hurting my family.
  • I also try to find the humor in everything and not take things so personal. If someone has an issue try to tell yourself, that is their issue not yours.
  • One of my favorite things to do is start my day with gratitude. Once you choose to express gratitude for everything that happens to you, whether good or bad, there will be no room for stress and worry.  I have a gratitude jar where I write what I am grateful for, and at the end of the month I read them all.
  • This one is hard for me because of my Type A personality, but I had to let go of my need to be perfect. I was trying to do be the perfect mom, partner, daughter, sister, friend and co-worker, which only lead me to stress and frustration. It is virtually impossible to be perfect in everything you do, plus being perfect leaves no room for improvement or growth.
  • Be present!!!! Being present in the moment and engaged in the now has made a tremendous difference. I used to get lost in my thoughts, I would think too much about the past and what may happen in the future. That used to create unnecessary stress, suffering and toxic energy.  So, I started to live in the moment and whatever is meant to be will be. One of my favorite sayings is “It is What it is”!!!

I hope you enjoyed reading this and that it is helpful. Just remember that energy is contagious and if you want a positive life you need to surround yourself with positive people.

Peace, Love and Light,

Lisa xoxo
